Gunn's Hill Artisan Cheese to Start Crafting Cheese within Days!
On Monday July 18 a Dairy Plant Specialist with OMAFRA carefully combed through each crack and corner of the Gunn's Hill Artisan Cheese Plant. This was the final inspection before production could start. The inspector was satisfied that the plant met and surpassed all the important food safety regulations and he has recommended that Gunn's Hill Artisan Cheese be granted a license to process dairy products. In less technical terms - we are ecstatic that once the proper paper work has been completed Gunn's Hill Artisan Cheese will officially begin crafting unique Swiss-quality cheeses! If all goes well, milk will start being cultured into cheese in the first week or two of August. After years of planning and preparing, to take this step is incredibly satisfying.
